Lights

My neighbor down the street gave me this card today.

She knows me well eh?

Thanks D. for making me guffaw early in the day. I will be sustained by those endorphins at least until noon I expect!

That's a rather scary looking matron in that picture what what?

I am feeling smug today. I finally got a few items I have been thinking about for a long time. I bought two strings of lights to hang along my backyard fence. I have been wanting to do that for the longest time, and found them at Target for dirt cheap, along with an extension cord. I also found 3 sets of 10 lights that are powered by batteries to put inside my little solar lanterns that have lost that solar feeling and refuse to light up any more. (Even with fresh batteries in them, the slackers!)

And who could not feel smug when beef stew is in the crock pot and challah thawing on the counter? All I will have to do tonight is light the candles!

Hmmmm, maybe we need some homemade cookies to go with that... chocolate cookies of some kind. I will have to think that over. Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. Yes. Now I am sure. Chocolate it is.

Off to search my cookie cookbook.......

Good Shabbos everyone!

I finally found a short string of fairy lights to replace the ones that burned out. My bamboo fence with the asparagus plant growing all over it is really pretty at night.

Challah, chocolate chip cookies. MMM. I'll pass on the beef stew, but I do have lentil and veggies soup in the crockpot.

    Shabbat Shalom!

beautiful you have two strings of light for your backyard fence
I must have been a light creature in a past life something like a luminous fish I am SO attracted to light

we are starting to string up lights for christmas on our skyscraper apartment balconies and each balcony is luminous and unique really I have never seen anything quite so beautiful it electrifies the night

beef stew and a candlelight ceremony that sounds so simply and exaltingly religious

every time I come to this journal I feel like I would like to meditate or that someone gave me a warm fuzzy

    have a beautiful dinner c.c.
