The brain is a strange and wonderful organ.
The things it links together and the things it just can't pull out of the memory banks just set my synapses to firing.
This morning, I put a Peter Gabriel CD into the stereo. It is actually the first CD that I ever bought. As soon as it started to play, there I was, transported to my old house sitting in front of my friend's brand new computer. It was the first computer I had ever had access to that could do EVERYTHING .... (at the time). I played my new CD in that computer for the first time, because I didn't have a CD player of my own. I spent the whole day in my jammies and bathrobe opening every one of the programs that were loaded on that Micron computer.... (and there were legion). I figured out how to make a sound recording of a bit of Peter Gabriel, added it to a Power Point slide show presentation and left it on their desktop with a "click here" page to start it. That was in probably 1997.
Then I cut up an orange for breakfast.
I'm minding my own business, and unbidden comes the memory of cutting up oranges just like this for my kids. It was the easiest way for them to eat an orange. It reminded me of the hundreds of lunches I made for them to take to school.
So just think of it (you can't help yourself) all day long our mind is linking things that we are doing right now, to things we did 20 years ago. Can you imagine the complexity of that? All of us are walking Googles.

I have discovered the most satisfying drink.
You make yourself a cup of Chai tea then add one teaspoon of French Vanilla creamer, and one teaspoon of Hershey's chocolate syrup. No more, no less.
Drink.
Find bliss.

I was at work yesterday. I will be at work tomorrow. Today I am home.

When I got home yesterday, Sunny, after being home out in the back yard all day long alone was.... well let us say..... WOUND UP.
I threw my stuff on the floor, got her leash and we headed out to the fields where I let her go. She took off like a shot. I kept walking over to the creek looking over my shoulder now and then to check on her. At some point during her travels, she found a nice ripe dead creature of some sort and rolled in it with enthusiasm. On the walk back, I noticed some odd looking greenish stains on her neck and shoulders. All I can say is...
EWWWWWWW!
So first thing when we got home I got her in the bath tub and scrubbed the daylights out of her. She smells much better to me. I'm sure she thought she was smelling good, quite attractive, alluring, and. . . canine.
Now she smells of coconut shampoo thank you very much.

Today I bake cookies.
Today I do laundry.
Today I create boxes if I want to.
Today I am a Domestic Goddess.
