The Oracle Has Landed
Thu Jun 08 2006

In yesterday's post, I reminded myself of the Oracle, and realized that it is that time of year again. I'm a week or two off, but hey, we had other things going on didn't we?
So without further ado, may I present:

The Oracle Of Pupik

From the Pupik* of the world, the Oracle has emerged, in all her digital finery, ready to give the third annual audience.
This is your chance to consult the controvertible wisdom of the DearDiary Oracle. Your questions could be inquiries into the meaning of Life, The Universe, and Everything. . . or not. The Oracle will entertain most questions. Even those concerning shopping lists, best planting and harvesting times, optimal dates for the start of wars, and other everyday concerns. However the Oracle will not answer questions about the Oracle. (Some semblance of mystery must be maintained after all.)
The questions and answers will be posted together in the next entry which may or may not be delayed a day or so depending upon the volume of supplicants.
All mortals may now draw near and feel free to make your petition.

* Pupik: Yiddish for navel.

    Dear Oracle,
Do Japanese Beetles do anything other than devour plants and have orgies? Do they have hobbies or anything??

    Thank You

Oh great, wise, immaculately intelligent Oracle, please may I have the answer to the following question?

What restaurant was Rick wondering about yesterday and is it still in your particular neck of the woods? He can't remember which one but we are certain you will know the answer to our question.

RYC - My doctor wondered the same thing, but said the other one is the specialist. Go figure.
    Thanks for your prayers!

    Dear Oracle,

I fear I am going to miss my golden opportunity to learn from you this year. I am so tired I can not think of a question. Thank you anyway for blessing us with your presence. Perhaps next year I'll be able to think of something intelligent to ask.

O, wise and mighty Oracle, I have not sought your council in years past because I didn't have a question that was worthy of your omnipotent grace. This time, I do.

It seems that we have two volunteer tomato plants in the yard that will impair the growth of two of the Celebrity tomatoes we planted this year if they are allowed to grow where they are currently growing. They are aproximately one foot tall. If we dig them up and pot them in five-gallon buckets with drain holes, will they live to produce the Sweet 100's they probably are? And if they will survive, do you think our mutual friend with the nice patio in front of her apartment might like to have one of them?

Only you can answer these questions for me, great and wonderous Oracle.

    Curiously,
    ~Cali

It is interesting that you should bring up the concept of questions and answers at this point. The question one asks is often very relevant to the answer. The question you should have asked me is "Where WERE you?"...

Perhaps the oracle can answer that one?

    Dear Oracle,
Can you give me the plans for building a ship so I can go to Dhirana?
    Thank you, O Mighty One.

I honestly don't know where to start!!! I have soooo many questions.

I'm downloading the last few chapters from my folder and I'm looking forward to it. Will you be attempting to have it published? I think you should.

    Love ya....Parett

    PS
Laughing out loud with dust bunny.. Oh you do have some good quarries flying round
    Mighty oracle..
If I dared.. I'd ask such a question.. as might find me in need of an attorney. A political question as to the length of life for this current insanity..(admin)
But.. even the mightily oracle must have limits
