Not long ago a friend of mine told me about these puzzles she was learning how to do. All innocently I asked her what they were. "Sudoku" she said. How odd I thought. What the heck is that? So she whipped out the one she was working on that was in her purse. That should have clued me in right there, this was no casual pastime. But I continued down the garden path, all unaware. She explained the rudiments to me, and I had to admit, even I, a normally numericphobe person, might be able to do this puzzle.
Where did it come from? Here's a short article about it. Origins.
And here, in case you want to get hooked is a nice link where you can print out easy or harder, or crazy hard Sudokus with answer sheets (do print the answer sheets, I warn you). Puzzles to Print
I cannot describe the evil glee that I experience when I manage to complete one without peeking at the answer sheet. (Which is about one out of five, but I'm improving) It is truely a Snidely Whiplash moment.
In all honesy, I must admit, I am still working on the EASY level puzzles. I don't even think about the harder ones yet.
But still, there is something about them.......

"Is there a POINT
to these puzzles?
Will there be a
FOOD reward?
Chicken feed?
Egg money?
Something?
Anyone?
Anyone?"
