The Blog Of White Noise
Sun Jul 02 2006

This is one of those days when I should probably say nothing. But can I manage that? Nope.

It's a "why am I blogging anyway?" day today.

There are times when we have something to say, that we just have to get off our chest. Or some bit of good news to share or a sorrow that we need help carrying around. Or maybe a worry that when we put it on cyberpaper doesn't look half as scary. - - All good reasons to blog.

There are other times however, when blogging degenerates into 'white noise'. Like the sound that you get in between radio stations that I am told is the radio signature of the universe. Charged particles from the Horse Head Nebula, or the death throws of a red dwarf star.

But the real analogy that came to me today was of newborn puppies or kittens. They mew or grunt so that their mother knows they are still alive. Touch a newborn kitten and they will mew every time. Same with puppies. 'Don't forget me. Don't stop cleaning me. Don't stop feeding me! I can't see you, but I know you are there. I'm still alive!'

Well, that is what this blog entry is today.

The cybersignature of one soul, spewing forth pixels, adding to the white noise of the internet. Just to communicate this one thing....

I'm still alive!

    cool entry I love it

I will be blogging for a bit longer this run cant give up that rush of white noise

also I think we blog because we are highly communicative we can reach readers that otherwise would never touch our lives from all corners of the globe

also it makes our lives seem more significant to ourselves and others I think there is a gold mind in every psyche and we dont stop to notice it in ourselves and others and when we write it we notice it

merci pour vos commentaires ma chère amie yetzirah

you are fun and enlightening and so CUTE

Well said. You have hit the nail on the head, once again, on how we all feel sometimes. I have had far too many of them lately. Writer's block or some such nonesence. We are all glad you are still alive!
    Hugs!

So you're still alive. That puts you miles--or years--ahead of millions of others. But it's good to know that one decent person is still around breathing, if not kicking.

    Shalom

Dog days of Summer!!I long for the cry of a Loon or the cry of a wolf I have listened to in the far north,it is a sound you never forget but one that is so thrilling it runs through your every fiber.Or perhaps the silence of the woods in deep snow. Perhaps we have too much white noise that it is hard to be really Alive .
Dang I miss listing to the call of the wild in the far north and know the cry of I AM Alive.

I will think of you before then and I will melt and feel all soft and mushy inside when I think of your cuteness
