There is something I haven't mentioned. I just haven't had time to tell you!
When I was packing to leave on our Thanksgiving safari, I thought of how happy Sunny was going to be to get to the mountains. She acts differently up there. More active, involved, interested and generally just 'perks up' when she is there.
Then I thought that it might be nice for my dad to have a sidekick for all his outdoor adventures.
Hmmmm..... the wheels turned.
The upshot of the whole thing is that Sunny is wintering at the mountain chalet. She is chief dog and companion to mom and dad and built in homey for Tootsie, my brother's dog. The dynamic duo had a playdate yesterday when Mamallama and me brudder had to go shopping and were going to be gone all day long. Tootsie came to visit for the day. Though I hope it didn't include too many full body slams as they DO tend to get carried away while rampaging around together. Sunny was limping for a day from one of their crashes.
Here she is in the front yard, taking in the view:

It seems that the transition has not been TOO hard on her either. I caught her doing this one day while I was still up there:

Hopefully, we will get some correspondence from her through Dustbunny3 from time to time.
In the meantime. The stray cats and jack rabbits are in for a bit of a shock. There's a dog on the premises!
Go get 'em Sunny!
