My Day
Thu Dec 07 2006

Tonight is the knitting guild dinner and gift exchange. I have my gift ready to take with me...

Wonder what's in there?

Okay, it's yarn. Three kinds. I didn't know what to settle on, so I got all three. I didn't have any bows in the house, so I learned how to make a yarn flower to decorate the package here:

Flower

I didn't have really appropriate yarn for the project, but I am going to keep this little craft in mind for the future. Something a little smaller and fuzzier would have done a better job. But it was quick and fun.

Well, I've worked my fingers to the bone this week, and today I'm giving myself permission to do what I really want to, which turns out to be finishing a felted bag and writing letters to friends and family.

And I might make a baked apple dessert after a while if Hub Man is lucky. ;-)

That's a beautiful package, and the yarn "ribbon" is entirely appropriate for the occasion.

I was reading the directions for making the flower, and was glad for the accompanying picture directions. You could print a copy and include it with the gift.

    Enjoy your evening.

    Shalom

    PS: Hope Hub-man is lucky.

Wow! Neato mosquito! I'm sure whoever receives this package will be delighted!

I have to admit that christmassy presents were the last thing I expected to see here, though.

    Hugs,
    Cali
