Lucky me!

In the gift exchange I got this really soft and lovely Misti Alpaca yarn in
Lipstick Red.

I have been haunting the internet looking for a pattern suitable to it's bulk. I haven't really worked with yarn this big before so I am mildly intimidated.

The dinner was fun, met some new people and ate some divine spinach and cheese raviolis with the nicest light tomato sauce... YUM.
They also served a nice salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. How did we ever exist without that lovely stuff before???
[My favorite way to eat it though was sopping up the extra dressing with bits of bread....]

This is a busy weekend. Our Rabbi's oldest son is having his bar mitzvah tomorrow, and then we are going to a dinner party at our neighbor's house in the evening. On Sunday we are supposed to go get instructions for taking care of a friend's kitties whilst they are away to England and France for two weeks. I will get some pocket money for the job as it involves a fair amount of driving to get there and she wants me to go twice a day.
[I'll work for yarn money...heh heh]

(Mercenary little wench aren't you?)

Gorgeous yarn! Alpaca feels so lovely, and the red is beautiful!

Alpacas have got quite popular as pets around here. We may eventually graduate from mad sheep to alpacas.

I am a knitter too. I understand perfectly about yarn money.

I listen to a podcast on itunes called Knitty D and the City. It is two women who knit and talk about it. They are extremely funny. One of the ladies is a lawyer. She refuses to get her air conditioner fixed because she would rather buy yarn. You should check it out sometime. You don't have to have an ipod to listen. You can listen from your computer. It's free.

I want to say thank you for the tutorial on how to put pictures on my Diary. I have put one up. It was taken a few years and about 15 pounds ago. So you probably won't see many more picture of me until I lose some more. Just bragging. I have lost 15 pounds.

Thank you Thank you for all your help
    Knit on.

Yummy yarn. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
