I know there are a lot of blogging knitters out there. I follow their adventures all the time. And I know they have a lot of lovely yarn in their stashes. [Or so they say.] But today, I can say for a certainty that I am the most fortunate of knitters.
I found this in my mailbox yesterday:

And for a closer look......

Some of you may remember this entry - Fleece Dreams. Well, this is the end result of a lot of spinning.
Thank you SO much P.! I am now on the hunt for the perfect sweater pattern to try my hand at. I only hope I can do this wonderful yarn justice. My knitting knees are knocking together in trepidation.
I tried my best to get the color right. It is a black coffee brown in real life and full of character and earthiness. I could not wait to see what it looks like knitted up and did a little swatch last night. But I don't have the proper needle size that she told me to use, so I ripped it out and will try again once I have fetched the proper equipment.
God has blessed me with the most excellent assortment of friends.
So off I go, head held high as I am the Queen of Handspun Yarn for the day.....
(I suppose this means we have to scurry about saying "YEEESSS Your Majesty!" all day long like Alice in Wonderland. The things we have to put up with around here...... )
