It's cooler today. In the 80's somewhere. One can breathe.

Tomorrow will be my last morning taking care of the cats. They are about 12 miles away or so and I have been making two trips a day. Medication is involved. [For the cats, not myself].

I think there will be canning of tomatoes tomorrow if all goes well. Maybe not a huge batch, but they ARE getting ahead of us for eating fresh. I'm not sure about my early planting strategy. Those plants have been in the ground a long time now. They look tired. But there is a fair crop of them, so I suppose it worked somewhat.

I bought two summer squash plants this year, thinking I would get a jump on the squash harvest. What a mistake.... Those plants seem to have some sort of growth disorder. Stunted, yellowed, confused looking non producers, is what they are. Rats.

Well, off I go. I'm working on a little weird knitting experiment. It is calling to me from its teeny tiny needles.

Listen......

Knit me!

My two projects keep calling to me, too, but so far I haven't had the energy to comply. *sigh*

    What could be that small?

    hmmmmmm.........

The only small creature in your house that I'm aware of is Belle and I can not think of a thing she would need in this heat.

    Mittens for an elf?

Oh wait, what about, slippers for a little hen?

    No?

What about a hat? I'll bet she would love a red hat. All the best dressed hens are wearing them these days.
