I have just completed the *almost* most important thing in preparation for our trip....

(Don't you just love those awkward sentences she writes ? so avant guar... ..... uneducated.)

Mixing the cd's.

Right now I am listening to....

David Gray

'Nos da Cariad' is the only song I have from this album.

Only thing is the car we are taking doesn't have the cd player and radio installed in it yet. We are going to take the old one out of the other car.
I gotta get that on Hub Man's agenda....

Road Tunes are just as important to me as a food basket in the car when traveling. Books on tape are nice if they are amusing stories. One time I listened to Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy in the car. Shortest trip ever.
It was a hoot.

Anyway, I'm off to add to some piles here and there. This is the awkward day of packing. Too soon to get really serious and hide things in their containers, just in case you want to check AGAIN that you have enough of whatever it is you have poked into some dark corner of some daypack or suitcase. I kinda like everything in plain sight right up until the last possible moment.

It's not a good habit.

I don't recommend it.

    hello, dear yetzirah!!!!

    SO wonderful to return back 'home' and find you still around and as excellent as ever. have to say, i adore david gray - he makes great laxy roadtripping music. trips away are always fun and especially road trips, i am long overdue for one but am heading down south in a couple of weeks with a group of 3 girl friends so that will be fun. (no driving, but)

    RYC: I don't know about telepathic, but they do have excellent internal clocks and always know when its time to eat. :)

    There is something mildly disturbing about a hen who hard boils eggs. Clearly the hen needs a vacation. I suggest she use her hen pocket to hold a pocket-handkerchief and other necessities for travel. According to Bilbo Baggins, you never should leave home without such things as you never know where an adventure might take you.

    I haven't gotten past the "thinking about" part of what I need to take. I'm pretty much a last moment person, much to my frequent dismay when I get to my destination.
