This morning I baked the last of the suitable recipes from the internet.
After closer examination, two of the ones I printed out got thrown in the reject pile for either too much fat or too much sugar.
This one was not very good.
I made it because it used a different method than the others. You mix it up and leave it in the fridge overnight and bake it in the morning.
Eh. I was not impressed. Total waste of time to do that in my opinion.
So I have compiled my own version using the best elements from four attempts.
I will test my version in the next day or two and let you know if it needs tweaking. But I promise to have a workable one for you soon.
In the meantime, I worked my way out of a very bad case of knitting doldrums by casting on a shawl to wear on the chilly mornings that I know are coming.
I'm sticking to my determination not to buy any new yarn until I have substantially reduced my stash. I drug out some odd balls of this and that to use up and this is what it looks like as of this morning....

I am enjoying the simple pattern and the fact that I won't have to look at those baseball sized leftovers just warms the cockles of my heart. Too much stash in the drawers haunts me like, like.. . . .
Yarn Zombies .
If they catch you, they wind mismatched bits of yarn around you until you can't move. Then your stash NEVER gets used up.
Yikes!
