Now that the Hen is busy elsewhere, here are a few pages from my Wreck This Journal project.....
I don't want to stir up her nest any more than is absolutely necessary.
So we will keep this between ourselves.
The infamous 'dinner page':

For the tidy and puzzled among you,
(Of which I am one by the way...)
Yes, yes. The premise behind this whole 'wrecking' idea at least for me anyway, is to stop being afraid of the paper. Stop allowing it to intimidate me. Learn to manipulate it. Don't expect what you create to always be perfect or beautiful or even pleasant.
Now don't get me wrong. I am not about to start making paintings out of cow dung and expect other people to subsidize my 'art'. I don't believe in that kind of nonsense.
BUT. I am aware of the intimidation of materials. I would like to give myself a lot more elbow room in that arena. Hence the exercises in this book.
If I only learn one or two things from doing this, it will have been worth 9 dollars and 24 cents I figure.
Now off to face the day.
One needs to gather one's courage for that you know.
