Precipitation and Anticipation
Wed Nov 26 2008

It rains.

Gently.

Perfect weather for baking dinner rolls for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

I'm hoping the oven will take the chill off the house.

Outdoors there are a few plants who haven't gotten the memo about the coming of winter. Nasturtiums have sprouted from their own dropped seed this summer.

They are flanked by Four O'clocks that have done the same thing. I dread the first frost. But for now, they make a cheerful if foolish spot in the back yard.

I'm waiting impatiently for Ben the new Sheltie to arrive. He is supposed to be here sometime after 3 this afternoon. I hear he likes cats....

(Let's hope that doesn't mean, ....in his food bowl.)

Sigh.

It never ends around here. . . Never.

Well, at least we have this memory.... Princess Piper and Fiona whooping it up one morning on our bed...

When Fiona Ruled The Roost

Bet Fiona wishes Piper stuck around.
Maybe Ben will be a Piper clone.

cute video ;). Visitors to my home are always amazed to see the cats and the dogs playing or grooming each other. I think it's adorable. Pal doesn't realize what he was missing. Maybe Ben will be smarter on that front.

    P.S. happy thanksgiving!

Ooh! Look at those nasturtium! We had one vine that we cut due to excessive growth that continued to stay green for weeks after in the brush pile. Go figure.

    Loved the video!
