Hub Man is home today.
(Isn't that special?)
Well, yes actually. But he's home for a less than delightful reason. Our car has been acting up, or rather, not showing UP for action lately. Not wanting to start unless coaxed by starter fluid and other hood raising gyrations.
It finally gasped it's last and went into full 'Failure To Launch' mode a few days ago. So Hub Man is thinking about putting in a different engine. One that he has on hand. In the garage. ... Yeah, a spare engine in the garage. That's life with a mechanic.
He's out there right now assembling the thingy that he uses to lift big things and move them around. Cherry picker. That's it.
What does all this have to do with pie? Well, I'll tell you....
(Is there any way we can AVOID being told?)
Sure, put your (s over your ears.
The other day the very same Hub Man brought home lemons from a friend at work.
There was some sort of declaration made about a lemon pie.
I took that to mean me, so today I cooked up some lemon pudding from scratch, and made this....
Hey ho, there ya go. After tasting this lemon pudding made from scratch, I have concluded that it is WAY more trouble than it is worth. I just can't see how it tastes all that much better than the stuff in the box. And trust me, I'm usually a big proponent of home made. Though at least I know exactly what went into it, and there are no artificial ingredients, or chemically questionable additives, I still think it was a boat load of work.
It rained for a while this morning, but right now the sun is out. I think I will take the dogs for a run real quick while I have the chance.
(I'll watch the pie for you.)
