Early this morning, the dogs and I went out to the pond in our neighborhood.
A small flock of Canadian Geese floated over to inspect the dogs.
Sunny only goes in the water up to the point where actual swimming might have to take place. The geese seemed unafraid. After all, they were on their home turf and had us outnumbered.
It was a good way to start the day.
I didn't have any errands or appointments today, this is always energizing to me. I decided it was a good day to refurbish the fountain.
I had to move it back to its original place which was covered in dead leaves and mud. The fountain itself was full of muck too. But after a solid hour of work, we arrived at this:
I didn't take any before pictures. It was too embarrassing.
I think I can say with complete confidence that this concludes my garden and yard clean up and preparations. From now on it's planting seeds and transplants, watering and pulling weeds, until we start harvesting something to eat for the stomach and something to look at for the soul.
I am fairly vibrating with anticipation for the sweet peas to grow tall and bloom.
I have two more packets of seed to find places for in the grand scheme of things out there. Can you have TOO many sweet peas? By the way, when I say peas, I mean the ones you eat, when I say sweet peas, I mean the ones you admire and inhale their fragrant aroma until you are in a state of nirvana.
(Sounds vaguely illicit.)
Yes. It does doesn't it?
Call it my act of civil disobedience.

It was wet, but not cold really, just a little breeze blowing. A small flock of Canadian Geese floated over to inspect the dogs.
