Surprise At The Local Yarn Shop
Fri May 08 2009

I took myself over to the yarn shop today to buy some yarn to make myself a hat.

While I was there the owner's daughter stopped by on her way to the Wildlife Shelter. She had a little project for them.

[album 65561 Baby.JPG]

It's a little baby Screech Owl. It fell out of the nest and they could not return it, so it's going to the experts. He can almost fly, but not quite. That's how he got in trouble.

I took out my new phone and took a picture of him. The phone has a teeny tiny little memory card [that Hub Man bought for me that I thought I didn't need. Silly me.]   Anyway you put the memory chip in an adapter and you can download the pictures into your computer!  That's why I can share this with you.

Anyway, a baby Screech Owl was not exactly I was expecting to see at the yarn shop today. You just never know what you are going to find when you venture forth into the car butts. Sometimes it's worth the effort.

Today was such a day.

[Oh, by the way, Happy 40th birthday Jesse. Mazal Tov.]
