Wonky Week
Fri May 22 2009

I've had a wonky week on some levels.

 Okay okay, on most levels.

I don't think I am up to par. I'm off my feed. I'm half a bubble off of plumb. I only have one oar in the water. I'm one crayon shy of a box....

(Yikes! Snap out of it!)

Well that's just the point isn't it? I would LOVE to snap out of it. That would be peachy keen. A OK. Right up my alley. Yessiree Bob. Alllllrightythen!

(Now you're scaring me.)

Seems to me that's pretty easy to do Dillweed.

I'm sure some of my distress stems from the alarming state of the political climate. I suppose we could call it 'Political Warming'. Or if you prefer the newest nomenclature mandated by the Thought Police, 'Political Climate Change' OR 'There's nothing you can do about it so sit down and shut up you _ _ _ [insert your favorite expletive here]!'

This of course has not kept me from writing pithy notes to my Senators. You would be proud of me, I resisted the temptation to use expletives. I'm a good citizen I am.

But there's some part of me, deep inside my psyche in a little room with no windows that is keening and wailing and running in circles. I think there may also be some hair pulling going on. I try not to let that part take over. Let's just say I'm aware of it.

(Step AWAY from the little room....)

I think I'll go watch the corn grow.

(Sounds like a plan.)

(Whew!)

Me thinks the last plan along with a tall glass of ICE TEA would do the trick. I have stood in rows of Corn on a warm summer nite and HEARD the corn grow. I was scared to do that in the Zinnica
    patch .

Well, when you've gotten a grip, maybe you could come back here and tell us specifically what's got you all fashed.

    Bless

I understand all too well. I've taken to early morning therapy sessions pulling weeds. It is very peaceful and probably the only reason I'm not in a total meltdown.

I'll just stay in my garden, thank you.
    No little rooms for me.
    No siree.
I will NOT let them put me there.
    Uh-huh.
