Third Time's The Charm

[album 65561 The Hats Of Doldrum 001.jpg]

I am firmly entrenched in the knitting doldrums. I mean the sea is glass, the sails are furled tight and we are running out of fresh water.

All I can manage to produce are hats for the charities at our knitting guild. Anything more complicated is just eluding me in a rather aggressive case of knitting pattern intimidation.

(It might help things if you put your other oar in the water Cupcake.)

It would help even more if you would do something useful. Like oh, say jump in the water and pretend to be shark bait....

(Touchy aren't we?)

Next subject.

Yesterday we went to a picnic up in the mountains. Here are two pictures of the dogs. We had them tied up because the casual nature of low tables filled with fried chicken and really great potato salad al fresco was more than Sunny could handle. She felt like it was all laid out just for her.

Here they are keeping a close eye out for treats.  There was a little boy with a drumstick who obliged them too. I didn't get a picture of that because I was too busy keeping him out of Sunny's reach. She almost had that drumstick at least twice.

(You aren't going to tell them are you?)

Tell them what?

(That you lost this entry TWICE by hitting the wrong button on the html editor window.)

Sigh.

Cut me some slack will you?

(Why? You give me such good material to work with. I mean it's a never ending stream of dillweed moments. I can hardly keep up. I can't let this stuff go to waste.)

Sigh.

(What? No snappy comeback?)

Nope.

(Why not?)

I'm using up all my energy keeping an eye on that refresh button. I don't want to push it again accidentally.

(Well, I can see how that would use up all your available resources....)

Anyone want some used punctuation?

Cheap?

Well, a day or so ago () threatened you with the HEN. Perhaps you could return the favor and call in Little Miss Sunshine to keep him company until you can deal with him again. :)

Trust me one day the pebble will drop and the sea of glass will give way to waves of inspiration. In the mean time, just think of how appreciated all those cute hats will be once winter returns. It very well could be that is exactly what you are supposed to be doing at the moment.

    Pretty hats!

Myself, I'm tired of greedy dogs. I tried to eat lunch outside and had three of them practically in my lap. *sigh* I ended up going back inside to eat. Your brother needs to do something about his dogs.
    Heh, heh.

Sounded like a fun time at the picnic. The dogs are too precious. Love the hats you made. The little tiny ione is too cute and the scalloped edged one is very nice too. Creative flows like the tide doesn;t it? In and out, in and out......

That white hat with green trim would be perfect for DiDi. Is it right size for 2-yo? And can I buy it?

Family picnic? Did the dogs actually get any treats? Sure was a nice day to be outdoors and picnicking.
