Farm Fever

Where have I been?

I'll tell you where I've been.....

(I don't suppose there is any way we could get OUT of being told where you've been?)

'Fraid not.

(Sigh...... carry on.)

in the tenacious clutches of what I shall refer to in the remainder of this post as...

The Summer Flu.

An oxymoron if ever I heard one.

Summer is not the proper season for ... Summer Flu, no matter what it tries to tell you.

We cannot for a certainty, since we were not tested, say it was the Swine/and or H1N1 variety of flu, but we are leaning heavily in that direction for dramatic effect.

(That's about all you have going for you. You DO realize this....)

Assuredly.

I think today I am almost beginning to feel 'normal'. It was a full week. Hub Man decided to join me at about day three and is still feeling punk.

Symptoms:
Ringing in the ears.
Fever.
Sinus headache.
Dizziness.
Bronchial congestion.
Trying to cough up a lung.
Shortness of breath.
Thirst.
Not resting enough causes relapse.
You WILL pay for doing too much.
And oddly enough, appetite.
We were hungry all the time.
Yogurt went down the smoothest for me.
Followed closely by ice cream.

It was an interesting flu. I was only prostrate for the first fever hours. Then I was up and dressed and pooped. I spent most of my week playing an insidious game called 'Farm Town' on the equally insidious web site called 'Facebook'.  I actually joined it again so I could play this game with a friend. It's a blast. I don't do anything else with the facebook page, it's just the price of entry into the Farm Town cartel.

Oy what fun!

I'm one kick-fanny farmer I am.

I have a strategy.

Don't buy too many frills. Stick to the basics. Crank out some crops. Make a pile of coin.

Go Farm Town!

( I think she is still feverish and needs to be hospitalized. For an extended period. I could use the rest. I'm not feeling so good myself....)

Not a very fun way to spend his 60th.
Glad you are on the mend and I wish him a speedy one as well.

Does ( ) know how to have ANY fun?
BTW - I'm still melting. Yuck.

I'm sorry you were sick...... I even feel bad for (). Flu bugs, regardless of type, are never any fun. Glad you are getting better.

One of my daughters got quite caught up in Farm Town a few months ago. She had a strategy similar to yours I think. For myself, I had best stay away. I don't get anything done now......the last thing I need is a new addiction. :)

LOL farm town is addictive! You do know the more 'neighbours' you have the faster you can gain experiance right? Happy to add you should you feel so inclined.

I probably shouldn't tell you... but there are two other addictive little games I have found there too. Nice little brain stretchers. Pathwords and Word twist =) Many an hour have been spent trying to beat ones score!

So sorry to hear you are still sick. I thought you were better. Oy is right! Poor Daniel. Now I know why he was home Wed when I came to get the flour. I hope the two of you are back on your feet full force very soon. Never mind about our kitties. I have Shawn doing it. Just get well! Jen is a big fan of Farm Town too. I haven;t jumped in yet but will soon. Enjoy farming and get well!

My mother had this a few months ago. She said it was horrible and made everyone stay away for two weeks. I hope you are both back in the pink ASAP!
