Things Are Looking Up
Thu Aug 06 2009

The weather has cooled off today, there are a few puffy clouds in the sky and we have a nice breeze. I decided it was the perfect day to wash sheets and hang them out to dry on my illegal clothesline. I cannot for the life of me imagine why a homeowner's association would want to ban such an innocuous thing.

We have decided. Never again will we buy a house with association fees and rules. EVER.

(The universe is listening. You know this don't you?)

Well, I'm feeling spunky today.

I think I'm over the flu. I almost feel..... perky today. It's a novel experience. I forgot it was possible.

Speaking of perky.

Here's Classy with her radar dish on.

She has a little bump on her right toe she keeps licking on. This was my only recourse since the nasty tasting sprays I have tried putting on it have no deterrent effect on her whatsoever. She's a tough little customer in that department.

Here's another one.

She has had two baths now and I think .... I think.... I think....

(You wish?)

I THINK her hair is going to grow back.

She has begun to play a little, though with the radar dish on, she gets subdued and depressed even. A few times a day I take it off and keep an eagle eye on her so she can romp around a little. But it only takes a few licks and she will have that toe all messed up again.

Also, she has begun to bark at the dog next door. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that she has been de-barked. So she sounds like she has a bad case of laryngitis. This is all in her favor for adoption though. It might be an important thing for a potential adopter to have a quiet dog.

She has an appointment for her spay and teeth cleaning early next week. Things are moving right along.

Well, I really have to go now. I need to check my farm.

Let me see if I can take a picture of it for you...

Not the best quality I'm sorry to say. I'm still learning how to get a good sharable picture of it.
I'm having a blast. Farmtown is a lot of fun. Yes, an account at Facebook is the price of entry.
But I don't HAVE anything on my Facebook page, so I'm okay with it for now.

This is all I have to say about it...

Well, it's not ALL I have to say, but it's all I'm going to bother YOU with .... for now.

(Oh, well that gives us something to look forward to doesn't it?  I'll try to contain my excitement.)

Funny, I never thought you had a problem with that.....

I saw a BUNNY in the woods on your farm.
I want a bunny!
I want a farm too!

(Ahem.... actually you little squirt, you DO have a farm.)

(Think about it.)

That's the farm where the raspberries needed to be picked. Were they still good when you finally were able to get back to The Farm?

Classy really needs to get her hair back. Looks like that collar is going to stay on for a good while, until her surgery is healed. If she can't leave the toe alone, she surely will want to pay attention to her belly!

Missy went ballistic when she got her radar collar. I finally had to take it off, for her mental health's sake. She was good about not licking her surgical site, so it worked out OK.

Hasn't the weather been wonderful here? I was all prepared to suffer the heat, and here it's been in the 80s.

    Bless

    It's raining here.
    52 degrees.
We ALMOST turned the heater on.
    This is August, isn't it?
    Crazy, crazy weather.
I'm worried about my tomatoes ripening on my REAL Farmtown.
    Heh, heh.

I, too, am curious about the condition of the farm once it was brought back online.

Ah, Elizabethan lampshades... er, collars on pets. Endlessly amusing items. Especially for those of us with doggy doors. I never tire of chuckling at lampshade pets.

That Classy managed to look happy in that thing even for a minute is a testament to her overall character. I'd be whining non-stop.

The Farm looks beautiful, but don't you get a place to live? I only saw places for crops and of course the bunny's woods.
