Strangely Subdued
Tue Aug 11 2009

I just got back from dropping Classy off at the vet for her spay and teeth cleaning.

You know that little dog hasn't been here long, but she has embedded herself in the soft spot of my heart.

There's just something about her.

We are going to miss that short haired Sheltie around here today.

You aren't thinking what I think you're thinking are you?

No.
I'm made of sterner stuff than that you feather brain. Give me some credit. I'm just sayin'....

It's going to be kinda sad around here today.

But on the bright side, she will have clean and shiny teeth when she gets home.
And will almost be ready to find her new home.... and ....and....

Somebody bring me the mop.

(It's always drama, drama, drama around here. It's exhausting.)

Like YOU ever do any work, you lazy bum.
At least this dog doesn't shed.
She's practically bald.
I sort of like that about her to tell you the truth.
Maybe She Who Must Not Be Named will knit her a doggy sweater.
That would be nice wouldn't it?

(Whatever.)

    Is Classy back home now?

If ever there's a creature to worm itself into one's heart, it's certainly a sweet-natured dog.

    Bless

It's easy to see how Classy can warm her way into ones heart. I haven;t met her face to face yet, however she has captured my heart from your diary. Hope she is feeling ok after her morning of surgery. It took Shortcakes almost a week to feel right after his teeth cleaning ;last month, but then he is much older I would suspect. Pain and the being put out took a lot out of him. PS>Sometimes I think you need to stuff a sock in that old hens beak! :-))))

I agree with the sock stuffing idea.
    Sheeesh.

Hope Classy is feeling okay. Poor baby.
She is a cutie and a sweetie.
I could never do what you do.
I'd want to keep them all.

How would I go about adopting Classy? What would it take? I really NEED a dog soon and I'd like one that's housebroken, spayed/neutered and doesn't chase cats. I've finally figured out an affordable way to keep everyone flea-free and think I'm ready to love (a dog) again.

Never mind that previous comment. It's EXPEN$IVE! I'd be better off, financially at least, to find a dog at the Humane Society. Drats!
