Prepare yourself for a lot of disconnected subjects.
It's what comes of playing on the computer
when there is work to be done.
I wash my wings of her today.
(Pass that basin of water over here when you are finished Red. I'm with you.)
Well, neither one of you can dampen my spirits today. Last night it rained. Real rain. Not pretend rain. Not sprinkles. But the real thing.
I don't have an actual MUD cuddle to show you, but here's a real puddle on the patio created by water from heaven, not the garden hose:

I can hear the fields sighing, and the trees luxuriating in their clean leaves. Rain has come early this year. And I thank God for it.

This weekend was the air show. I know I have told you many times that some of the planes fly right over our house...
Well, I am not exaggerating.
Hub Man got this picture of one. That's the tree in our front yard.
Just TRY to imagine the roar! I have to plug my ears. Car alarms go off all over the place.

Hooaah!

Classy has found a home. Though she is not there yet. I am keeping her until her toe is completely healed. There is one little spot that is having a hard time closing up for good.
Today we have on the sock contraption instead of the plastic collar. She is still taking antibiotics, a new kind the vet gave us when she got her stitches out. I was hoping to get her to her new owner by Thursday, but it's looking iffy right now.
The new home is a lady in her 80's with a really nice house and yard. She lives alone and lost her last Sheltie in April. I really like her and the bonus part is that she lives only about 20 minutes away so I will be able to go visit Classy once in a while. Up until now, all our fosters have gone to people who live quite far from here.
So we shall see how she does in the next few days. I'm happy for her that she will be a pampered only dog.

One last thing...
Susan Boyle is coming out with a cd in November. This is one song that is on the internet right now. This is the only link I can find and it is a little wobbly I'm sure because of the traffic. I already pre-ordered the cd from Amazon.
Funny, I heard some radio talk show guys this morning making fun of her and this song.
As far as I am concerned they both have their heads up dark places.
If you know ANYTHING about singing, you will recognize her amazing voice control and range. Her phrasing is astonishing. And the unhurried way she allows this song to unfold just takes my breath away.
Here's the link.
Hope it works okay for you.
