The calendar says fall, the thermometer says 'fire and brimstone'. It was 100 degrees here yesterday. That's just wrong.
But it won't stop us from having happy thoughts about Classy.
Here she is with her new owner:
Surrounded I might add with a lot of detritus that I brought into the situation....

Classy seems to be considering that perhaps she hasn't done too bad with this switcheroo. I think she would be right. Though at these new digs there won't be any mischievous black Fiona's to play hide and seek with. There's give and take in every new endeavor I suppose.

I'm packing my things to head north tomorrow. I'm looking forward to breathing some mountain air and clearing my head. The altitude will do me good.
I have embarked on my Harlot socks. I figured I had better work on them right away while all her wise advice is still echoing in my brain.

I have once again chosen yarn for its size, not color as you can see. It was an emergency purchase and I realize I will most likely only wear these at home, but you never know. I might go out in public with them.... The yarn wasn't pricey and I wanted to practice with something that had a low intimidation factor. I'll work my way up to alpaca someday.
Okay, errands await me. Gas up the car. Wash its windows, clean out the dog leashes and gum wrappers.... I'm goin' on a road trip.
ALL BY MYSELF!
What a concept!
I've had dogs joined to me at my ever widening menopausal hip for just about long enough. Time to stretch out a bit. Take a long walk with no leashes involved.
(I'm not going with you.)
Why not?
(Fresh air is highly overrated.)
Suit yourself.
Ta-ta!
