In Which I Pass The Sock
Tue Sep 22 2009

Classy has been installed in her new home with her delighted owner.

She seemed a little dazed and confused by the move to tell you the truth. Something

didn't seem right to her. It's the one part of this whole fostering thing that

I could do without. The fact that the poor unfortunate creature always has to

start over again one more time. That is the moment I wish with all my heart I could

talk to them in dog language and have them understand what is going on.

Now, what I won't miss is the 'Toe Patrol'.  I was in a state of constant vilgilence

with that dog and her toe. I sent all her contraptions with her and showed

the new owner how to install them. When I left Classy, her sock was on her

foot. ;-)

We are gonna miss that little squirt.

I haven't mentioned it to the director yet, but I'm taking a break. A couple of months

most likely. Maybe December I'll be ready for another one. Hopefully we

will get a dog with no toe fetishes.

That's something to look forward to right there.

(Your standards for excitement are pretty low.)

And your propensity for crassness is annoying in the extreme.

(Ooooo, big words. I'm so impressed....)

Maybe next time, YOU can be in charge of toe duty.

(I, madame, don't DO toes.)

Figures.

Yeah, I remember sending foster kids on their way to adult life. At least I could keep in touch with them. visit and have lunch.

PS: Maybe the new companions could come a couple times to get acquainted, and pet, and stuff, before taking the fosterling to her new home.

    Or maybe not.

Hard yes, but now she will be top dog and a pampered pet. I expect she'll adapt quickly; probably faster than you. :)

    You done good!
