I was going through some of my.... ahem..... 945! pictures on Hamipiks and ran across this one...

It's of Robbie and my youngest son long ago on a food co-op day. They used to deliver the food from my buying club to our house. Youngest had a fever and was tucked up on the couch watching soap operas or something. Surrounded by food. It was a very chaotic day, co-op day.... but a lot of fun too. Robbie was sharing a bowl of honey corn puff cereal with the invalid. They had an understanding.

I'm in a full on clear the decks mode around here lately. Corners looked into, cupboards riffled and cleared of extra stuff we don't use, my closet got a going through. Though I'm afraid it has just about gotten down to the bare minimum in there. No. Wait! I forgot, there is a chest of drawers with sheets, tablecloths, and other miscellaneous things that I could sort out and thin. [It never REALLY ends, does it?]
We are supposed to get rain. Real rain. Within a few hours. I'm waiting impatiently. The back yard has all been squared away for now. Sukkah taken down, leaves and branches cleared away and the summer cushions washed and brought inside. It feels good to be ready.
Now all we need is for the water to come down from the sky.
I made pumpkin muffins for Hub Man's lunches this week. Our house smells like sugar and spice and everything nice right now.
It is well and truly fall.
