Using My Brain While I'm Still Allowed To
Mon Nov 09 2009

I find it very interesting how everyone seems to have an opinion about what we 'should' think, or not think about the pond scum who murdered people in Fort Worth.

I also find it tragic/comical/demented that we are encouraged not to take his own actions and words before and during the massacre into consideration. Say what?

I'll make up my own mind thank you very much.

Over and out.

(You know, for once I find myself in the awkward position of agreeing with her. It grates, but I stand firm.)

Which brings me to lament that I miss the days of "real" news, when the newscasters provided the facts and allowed us to formulate opinions based on the facts. Apparently it's no longer news unless they sum up by telling us how we should feel about it.

Now we're told what to think about pond scum?

I'm with you. I'll think what I think as long as my brain is alive.

When the shooting initially happened I was hoping that people wouldn't automatically assume because of the shooters name that it was a 'terrorist' sort of thing but given the information that's come out about his words and actions before and during, it certainly appears to be. Either way it's a horrible tragedy but it's somehow worse because it appears to stem from hate as opposed to mental illness.

For the life of me, I don't understand the whole politically correct crowd. So afraid are they of offending the creeps of the world they sell out the very people who put it all on the line to protect their freedom and in so doing they sell out their country as well.

Americans need to know the truth about what happened. We need to understand the peril of the world we live in. Burying our heads in the sand instead of facing the truth head will only harm us in the end. I just wish the pc crowd could see it.

As far as I am concerned politically correct = cowardice = unpatriotic.

    As Dragnet would say:
Give us the facts mamam, just the facts.

    It's all we need.
We aren't a nation of idiots.
    Well, except maybe the politians.
