Fiona Objects

Tomorrow we shall sallie forth and take Ben to the Scottish Games. Shelties originated in Scotland and are welcome at the games along with Highland ponies and cattle and some breeds of sheep. Sheltie Rescue will be there with lots of dogs and we will participate in the parade. We have been there before, but never brought a dog with us.

I just gave Ben a bath, so he will be very clean and pretty tomorrow. Lots of people come by to see and pet the dogs. It will be a long day, but we wanted to take Ben and see how he likes being in the limelight.

Here's a couple of pros:

Old hat. No biggie. Admire me in my sleep. Now THAT's laid back. I don't think Ben will be able to manage this level of nonchalance. But you never know, maybe he will surprise us.

After Ben got his bath, I decided it was about time Fiona had one too. Her's was much quicker and easier. She is quite displeased however and refuses to speak to any of us right now. Though somehow she seems to know that Ben is to blame.

Of course Ben is to blame. It's a perfectly logical conclusion.

I'm thinking of going to the games on Sunday. Haven't been to one in years!

    Bless

Scottish games???? *whines* I wanna go. They never have fun stuff like that around here. Boring old Deadville anyway.

I agree with you that the cat bathing is much quicker and more straight-forward than doggy bathing. My two are pretty good about it but by the time they're out of the sink I think they realize that they've been molested and cop a 'tude.

I have owned many cats all through my life and have never given one a bath. How do you keep the hair from sticking to your tongue?

    Have fun at the games!!

I took my Welsh Terrier to the Groomer today, and when I went to pick her up, I was bombarded by a family of Collies (mom, dad, and one of their offspring.) They were HUGE and beautiful and boisterous and chaotic, and I was amused to watch their owners (Dad + son) trying to stuff them into a Kia. But, OMG, the HAIR they left behind! The Grooming Room looked like it was floating upon clouds of collie-hair!
