The Truth Hurts
Fri Aug 13 2010

Now in my defense, I only grew about six plants, just to see how they would do, and I have more seed to plant another year if need be, and they sort of ended up in a shady spot, and they got crowded by the giant tomato plants of very little worth...and...

(Stop with the excuses will ya? You're giving me a headache.)

Okay.

Here's my entire crop of Dutch Brown Beans:

(I don't think we have a cooking pot small enough for those.)

Oh yes we do.
Hand them over.
I'll take care of the cooking.

That's my Hen.
Always on the job.

(These garden reports are pitiful this year.)

Don't I know it....don't I know it.

    ANY harvest is worth something!
Maybe they won't be a meal by themselves, but as a side they will be fine. And like you said, you only planted a small crop to see if they would even grow.
The experiment was a success, so Lady take a bow.
    Bravo! Bravo!

Half cup of beans? Cook 'em up anyway. Half cup is better than no cup. You want to know how they taste, anyway, so cook 'em up.

Maybe next year will bring a heftier crop. Don't give up.

    Bless

Mix 'em in with some of those lentils! *grin* Seriously, make a bean melange - lima beans, some kidney beans, maybe some garbanzos, a little seasoning - it would make a great side dish!
