Everyone has something that makes Thanksgiving seem... ... right to them.

I asked my guests who will be here what that meant to them... for one it was green bean casserole, another, mashed potatoes, another, black olives. That's a funny one eh?

For me, it's pie.

This year, it's Sweet Potato, and Apple. Both by request.

I'm ready. Even if the turkey is dry and the mashed potatoes lumpy...all will be well.

Because we have pies cooling in the kitchen.

I'm thankful that the house is clean
and the pies are baked. I've already
seen to the dinner rolls myself.

at our house for Thanksgiving.




I'll be thankful as soon as my peeps get under my roof.

    Black olives are a tradition for us also. It is mandatory for all kids to put the olives on their fingers and eat them. Funny enough, the age range of "kids" seems to increase as we get older.

    To me, Thanksgiving is not complete without lots and lots of dressing.

    For me the feast is not complete unless there is plenty of sage dressing and gravy. Hidden in the list of things I am thankful for is the fact that I am no longer restricted to a gluten-free diet. That means I get to eat it this year. Life is good. :)
