    RYC: The silt is because most of Christchurch is built on sandy soil with a lot of moisture in it. Apparently the shaking forces the water to the top, pushing up fine sand with it. Apparently it just gushes out of the ground like a fountain.

    I got my lovely little leash-handled bag! It's so cute! The puppies won't fit in it, but the stuff they need for outings sure will! Jethro smelled it all over, inside and out, several times.

    Your newly offered bag is very cute, but since I just received a lovely bag it wouldn't be fair to put my name in the hat.
