Hub Man drove me to the doctor today.
He deserves a medal.
It was a marathon visit.
We were gone from the house for four hours.
I had three appointments and two trips to the cast room.
Was blessed to get a bone density scan just for fun. We won’t know how dense my bones are for a week. I’ll be curious to know the results of that...
You know, everyone says you should have a ‘little black dress’ in your wardrobe.
That’s what they say.
It’s a fashion basic.
I’ve never had one.
But I am now the proud owner of a....
‘big black boot’.

When the doctor walked into the examining room, I was sitting there flexing and scrunching up my toes, having had the cast removed earlier. I told him I was in Nirvana now that I could move my foot.
He declared my ankle bone healed enough to leave the bifurcated purple cast in his office, and trade it in on the ‘removable for bathing and sleeping’ strappy boot thingy.
AND, my hens and chickens, I am allowed to walk on it as much as I can tolerate!
I feel a little wobbly and have only taken steps pushing the wheelchair around for support so far, but my oh my.... I feel like I’m ten feet tall now that I can stand up and walk.
Woo hoo !
I’ve been viewing the world from belly button level for so long, it seems pretty weird to get such an altered perception of things. Now I can look the world right in the chin like normal.
You see the healed ankle bone didn’t make me any taller... sigh.
I feel blessed.
AND, just to put the icing on the cake....
I have a date later on with some weeds.
