I feel quite the domestic diva this morning.
I actually made a list of chores and have completed four of them sans wheelchair or big black boot.
I’m walking around the house in my Doc Martin’s and feeling very little pain, which is a surprise because yesterday I sort of overdid it by doing a marathon cooking session like I enjoy doing of a Sunday and ended up having to finish up the last of it in the wheelchair.
But somehow, the exercise must have been good for it. Because today I almost feel all well. Though it’s almost noon and I’m contemplating some quiet time with the knitting needles and a few lectures on cd to keep me from going into the limp zone again.
I have been working on a little project that turned out just as I was hoping... it still needs handles. I’m mulling over my options.
Though I admit that sewing up three inch square bits of knitting does not exactly make me want to dance and sing, the results I have decided, are worth it.

This one is about 8 inches square now that it is felted. I’m already set up to make another one, though I think I’ll make the squares larger this time. I so enjoy making stuff up as I go along. It fits in so nicely with my less than stellar pattern reading skills.
Oh I can read and follow those pesky patterns if they aren’t TOO convoluted but they make me sweat bullets most of the time. Which is not fun. I want to have fun while I knit and I am willing to take the risk of a certain project not turning out all that great in exchange for the freedom of ‘winging it’.

I approve of your chosen phrase
For once I am in a quandary.
And I’m hardly EVER in a quandary.
to describe your process.
But am on the roost as to
the wisdom of this course of action.
It could prove a disastrous
waste of time and materials.
I don’t approve of waste.
Well, I’m going to go exercise my winging skill some more while I rest my ankle. If you can’t take the suspense, then don’t watch.
Look Little Red! No pattern!
Wheeeeee!!!
(You are a sick, sick woman Cupcake.)
Oh really?
I feel fine.
(Must be the yarn fumes.)
