I found a home for my birds....

[album 65561 Fini Birds.jpg]

Now I’m free to make more.

The weather continues HOT, but if the predictions are right, over the next days we are going to cool off and by next week be in the 80’s. I’m wondering what it will be like to be able to sit on the back porch and admire the garden in comfort.

Tomorrow I go to see the orthopedist for my last x-ray and hopefully clean bill of health for my ankle. I’m going to ask for a little physical therapy to finish out my healing. I have questions about what and what not to do with it at this stage. I’m very thankful for how well it is doing, even though too much ‘up’ time on it causes crankiness and a tad of swelling. It’s hard to stay down when you want to run around the house and yard and neighborhood.

We took the dogs over to the school yard the other day, but I rode my bike instead. So I suppose I COULD get around the place that way. Though I prefer to do it when Hub Man is around in case I get a flat tire half a mile from home!

There’s a plumtree down the street that has a bumper crop. Many of its branches hang over the fence into the common area. We went down and snagged a few of them the other day. Oh my goodness... what a treat. I have no idea what variety they are. I’ll have to take a few pictures. Maybe someone can identify them.

Our own plum tree has nice big plums on it, though nowhere near as many as our neighbor’s. They are turning color too. I can’t wait. Those I know are Santa Rosa’s.
You can only eat them standing over the kitchen sink. There’s a juice problem you see. ;-)

Okay, off I go to hone my ‘staying cool’ strategies for the day....
