Fire And Sun

  What the camera sees and what our eyes see are two very different things. What I saw was a deep crimson ball. A color I can't properly describe, truth to tell. There is nothing to compare it to. I hope the fire will die soon. It's not really THAT close to us, but the smoke goes where it will… and tries to block out the sun. So far, the sun is winning.

    On Tues and Weds I was in the valley, Etna had the least amount of smoke. It was a little worse in Yreka and Mt Shasta (Wed) On the way home to Fair Oaks it lasted all the way to Willows and was pretty bad. It does make for gorgeous photos though. It's hard if there is a breeze it is hard on the firefighters, if there is no breeze it is hard on the residents. I hope they can get it under control soon.
