Imaginary
Thu Nov 22 2012

You know, sometimes it's good to daydream. Like imagining that you can afford to get something that is WAY out of your budget. Just for fun. Just for chits and giggles. I have put a picture of this stove on my diary before, but I was thinking about it again today and looked it up.     That is an oven on the right. It's a heating stove and a cookstove combined. I love it like chocolate. It costs way over two thousand dollars. Kinda makes me weep, it's so much money. Because, like I say, I love it like chocolate. Deep, dark, forbidden chocolate. It's called Ironheart. That's because you need a heart like iron to hear the price of it. Just sayin'.

I'll join you in the "I'd love to have this department" -- would be wonderful up here in the mountains where we are for Thanksgiving. Have loved your last posts -- we are all settling in for the winter I think. Off to Ravelry to send you a knitting post ... Hope you are snug, and surrounded by good food tomorrow! hugs M

what I've found for myself, dreams are made to become true. If they don't, they are not worth having. Personally, when on a similar crossroad, I would ask myself not if can I afford it but how can I afford it. Because this is always the second question, the first one to ask: am I worth having what I want so much. I found that once I set out for something, no matter how little resources I'd have, there is always another way of getting it. and it seems like always works out somehow, don't know how, but it works every time. The beauty of taking your life in your own hands is that you can do with it what you always wanted to do. myself, what I enjoy the most is the ability to make my choices and act on them too. the stove looks gorgeous and feels very much to your character. To be honest, I would set up for going for it, if I were you. when and how you'll get there, will be worked out all by itself.

It's a wonderful dream and so very you. I can just see you standing there stirring a big pot of soup while a loaf of bread bakes in the oven. :) Reminds me of my grandmother.... she took out her electric stove and went back to cooking on a wood stove when I was a teenager....... said it worked better and was more reliable. it suited her too. I've often looked at them with longing especially when winter sets it. They offer up extra heat and are always on the ready even if the power goes out....which happens periodically out here. Your $2,000 dream doesn't sound half bad to me......the one that makes my heart go pitty-pat is well over 6K......ouch........sigh......
