[Click on this picture to make it bigger, it's worth it.]
Winter is making advances.
Our mushroom harvesting grounds have snow on them.
My new hobby is feeding the woodstove, and knitting furiously.
This keeps me from spinning off into the Nothing.
S. and I have been making puns all day long.
I made maple pecan cookies, and have eaten too many.
There was no egg in the hen nest today.
The dogs got out of the fence and ran down to the neighbors across the road and made themselves obnoxious for a little while.
I'm not speaking to them at the moment.
I'm wondering just how to begin the next chapter in my life.
The blank pages of it are intimidating the snot out of me.
So I'm writing one liners.
Hoping for inspiration to spring from the cold, damp ground.
(This is getting a little depressing. Can't you think of something cheerful?)
Well,… I borrowed a movie from my brother the other day.
I could watch it I guess.
(What's the name of this movie?)
Lemony Snicket - A Series of Unfortunate Events
(Shouldn't you go put some wood on the fire or something?)
Probably.
(Hop to it then.)
Okay.
I want a maple cookie… I haven't had too many yet.
