In Which Cold Is Defined Inappropriately
Wed Jan 02 2013

I cannot tell a lie. It's COLD here! Last night, I stepped outside to supervise the dog's last potty run in the dark and starry night. The little breeze that was blowing off the snowy field across the driveway could have been used to freeze dry …. I was going to say 'sperm cells' but it seemed indelicate. (When has fear of indelicacy ever stopped you from being inappropriate in the blogosphere?) Well, I just wanted to record that I DID pause. That I DO have some social filters that are still functioning. (However, I see they aren't telling you to go back and remove that sentence…) Well, no. I think it's kinda funny don't you? (Just barely.) Buzz Kill. (That's Decorum Monitor to you.) Whatever. It's COLD. This morning we have the distinct blessing of no fog to block the glorious sun, who is TRYING to do his job of melting some of this snow. Sunny knows what to do with it too.     I'm baking cookies for a birthday box to be sent off in the mail today. A LATE birthday box. The Cube and I are going to try our tires at getting the heck down the lane this afternoon. If we make it, [wish us luck!] I think I'll take her down to the sibling unit's house until the lane decides to join us to polite society without fear of being thrown into the ditch…. just for fun. After that, I'm going to knit a few rows on this lovely object...   Have you EVER seen such yummy yarn? My houseguest brought it to me as a gift. The minute I touched it, I knew what was going to happen. It is the softest stuff EVER! And believe it or not, I do not have a scarf to wrap around me when the sperm cell freezing wind is blowing across the fields. (Now that right there is inappropriate language. And I could tell by the way you typed it, there was no hesitation whatsoever. See what happens when you go down that road?) Can I hesitate before I let YOU say anything else in this entry? ……. Evidently I can!

love the yarn! Love your recipe also .... we LOVE squash. We are up in the Sierra still -- lots of lovely snow, and sunshine. There is a temperature inversion going on -- it is colder in Tahoe than here (altitude wise, we are much higer). Enjoy your scarf -- I'm enjoying a Hello Kitty scarf that my daughter and silaw gave me for Xmas! It is 100% acrylic but WARM, can you believe it? I have been disappointed for years that my daughter never "took" to "Hello Kitty" stuff as I love it, and constantly threatened to buy something tacky to make everyone crazy. But then I get cute gifts from them LOL think about snow shoes ..... they work LOL
