When God was apportioning friends, I think His fingers must have slipped, because I'm pretty sure I got more than my fair share.
And I'm not being cute.
I really mean it.
And it's not because they sometimes bring me gifts either.
They are much more than that to me.
Just knowing you are not alone in the world, especially when you have been summarily dropped off without notice by a spouse, makes one's friends take on special significance.
I met L. yesterday for lunch and she brought me a bag of thoughtful items for knitting, and a handful of napkins that she found in her shopping travels that just floated her boat no end, because she knew what she had found.
Oh yeah….
You know, I believe with all my heart that God is in the details.
And this time L. got to be in on the scheme.
[Thank you L. !!!]
Some objects that used to cause me pain have been moved along, and out of my house. Now, thanks to friends and family, new ones that bring me joy are taking their place.
And I am truly thankful.
Truly.
