I've spent a nice day making lists of things I would like to accomplish this year. And when I got writer's cramp, I cleared out two closets and several drawers. In the process, I banished some spiders. Bonus! Ended up with two bags full of clothing to pass on to someone else, and some very neat and tidy drawers that I'm sure will be a shambles in no time. But at least there won't be any orphan socks and gloves with no mates.
Sunny and I took a walk up to the creek today. It's still pretty frozen. Though while we were there, we actually saw rays of the sun shining down into the shady canyon. Spring is coming. Slowly.
I'm very grateful today for my little spot on the planet. It may not be fancy, but it certainly fits me well, and now that I have my little bath tub, provides for all my needs.
I'm also so happy to have all of you, my readers, near and far, along with me in all my little adventures. You add a dimension to my existence that is sort of hard to describe. But it's very important to me. It's good to have people to share an inside joke with from time to time.
Anyway, we all want to wish you the best of new years. Here's hoping for a year of new beginnings, joy, peace in our souls, and the surprise of discovering something completely new.
Who's the "we"?
Sunny and Bruce:
Stay warm.
Be productive! Stay on task!
Bake cookies. Share them with your friends! Play!
(For God's sake, stay out of trouble will you?)
Sigh.
I guess some things from the old year are going to follow us into the new one. But no matter. We'll still have each other.
PS I almost forgot! My SIL and I give a name to the new year. This year it turns out that we both chose the same thing. This is our year of "No Excuses".
