It's misty raining today.
I'm feeding Bruce, and wandering around the house a bit. Can't settle.
I do have a project to work on.
A scarf in sock yarn… in linen stitch.
Yeah.
My knitting readers will know what this means. It's an epic sort of knit. Linen stitch is maddingly slow. Sock yarn is tiny, though not the thinnest yarn of all. Tiny enough. And I'm knitting it lengthwise. 421 stitches to a row.
(Good Golly Miss Molly, why are you doing it then Dillweed?)
Because, Mr. Cranky Pants, it looks like this:
It makes me go weak in the knees.
Though when I look at the whole thing, it also makes me break out in a cold sweat….
I admit that I have taken a lot of pictures of this scarf to share with friends, using up time I could be spending actually KNITTING the thing.
(Confession is good for the soul.)
Don't I know it.
And along those lines, I am going to make a little announcement about Violet Winslow.
I have discovered that putting pressure on myself to finish it, is not working out so well. So I have decided to work at my own pace, and when it's finished, I'll share it then. I already have too many 'shoulds' in my life right now. But it IS my intention to work on that story this year at least.
(I TOLD you not to do it. Remember?)
Yeah, like EVERYONE just LOVES to be reminded that they have made an error in judgement.
Anyhoo, that's my plan.
That and knitting a few rows on the Epic Scarf today.
Only an estimated… 48 rows left.
A mere 20,208 stitches.
Piece of cake.
(Yeah, the size of Scotland.)
