Quite some time ago, I asked an artist friend to come to my house and give me a few pointers on painting watercolors.
She most graciously agreed.
I listened and learned.
A few weeks ago, she told me that the art gallery that she belongs to is having a showing. It will be the work of students that have taken classes from some of the gallery artists. There are many kinds of art there. Woodcarving, basketry, painting, ceramics... you name it.
Anyway, she told me if I had any work I wanted to display, to bring it this week.
I picked out a couple of things I had on hand, but decided I wanted to paint something specifically for the event.
I finished it today...
I got the idea from a painting I saw on Pinterest.
I love it.
So here are the three things I'm taking...
I could not leave out a hen.
It wouldn't seem right.
Since they have been such a large part of my work... or play... depending on how you look at it.
I'm looking forward to seeing what other students have done.
