I'm still waiting for my new camera to arrive.
I feel like I'm missing a body part these days.
Have spent the day preparing for a storm that the weather people are predicting. There is a rumor of snow. I hope they are right.
I added some more soil to my garden beds, and raked some leaves while they are still dry.
Mr. P is out there blowing them with his leaf blower. What a wonderful invention that thing is! My main job around the homestead is to rake leaves away from the fences and the sides of my house, and then he blows them all up in piles. Some he composts, but the walnut leaves he burns. They are full of too much tannic acid to make good mulch in his opinion.
Brownies came out of the oven just now, so my house smells like a chocolate factory.
It's intoxicating.
Since I don't have any way to photograph any part of my day today, I'll leave you with a photo from one year ago. Up at the creek.
Makes me want to go up there right now and balance rocks. But alas the sun is going down.
Bruce is already warming up the house in anticipation of the chill to come.
