The sky is crystal clear today and of such a shade of blue as to be nigh on unreal.
Only thing is, that the sun is shining so clear and bright on the snow that I can barely handle it. The laser like brightness is streaming into my kitchen windows to the point that I've decided to retreat in here on the north side of the house to putter with lists and deep thinking...
I was rummaging in a drawer looking for a certain set of pens I have to start said lists and realized that I may have a small problem.
I mean in the grand scheme of things, it's not a terrible character flaw. But I'm afraid it might be an indicator of a less than Puritan sense of modest restraint.
To put it bluntly....
I'm a pen harlot.
A writing instrument floozy.
An ink delivery system tart.
The evidence:
You will also notice I have an aversion to black ink. The current darlings, and my pen of choice today are just to left of center in the upper row. Pilot G-2
In this cacophony of color, there are exactly three pens with black ink. I keep them in case I need to fill out a government form. And I want to have more than one choice of pen for such an onerous task.
So as part of my New Year resolve, I hereby give my sister-in-law permission to whack me upside the head if she catches me trying to buy any pens for the calendar year of 2016. [She is usually with me when we are in the danger zones of Staples, Office Depot, Michaels, or Joann's.] Of course what I do in the privacy of my own home on Amazon, is my own damn business.
(I'm not even going to dignify that last statement with any of my considerable capabilities at sarcasm. You are doomed to fail with such an attitude.)
Well, I'm just leaving the door open for the possibility of some manufacturer coming out with the ULTIMATE ink pen. It has been a lifelong quest for me.... the search for the perfect pen. I'm not writing myself into a corner with multicolored ink don't you know. So I'm putting it in as a clause in my resolution contract.
(You are SUCH a dweeb.)
I will own that.
In fact, I can spell it out for you in ink of many colors!
So there!
