Another rain storm is moving through today and I could not be happier.
I just planted some more radish seeds and a handful of kale seeds too, and I love when it rains on them. Sometimes it's hard to keep the soil moist while seeds sprout, and there's nothing like rain to do the job right.
The lilacs continue to be a source of delight.
I finally decided to pick one and bring it in the house to admire up close.
In order to make an impressive bouquet for indoors, you have to be willing to cut branches of them and I just don't have the heart to do it this year. It wouldn't seem right.
But I needed to do some lilac gazing in the warmth and comfort of the kitchen.
I took a short walk down to S's house this afternoon to pick up a recipe that she left for me on her kitchen counter.
While walking through the back yard, I spied something that deserved a closer look... so I looked as closely as I could. :-)
And just think.... it's only April.
I'll be curious to see what other wonders we will see this year. I'm expecting the wildflowers to explode everywhere. I'll have to make it a firm policy not to leave the house without my camera.
