While spending all this time indoors, one soon begins to run out of patience with housecleaning projects, soul searching New Year's resolutions, and organizational endeavors in general, and cooped upness in particular. I know the hens would agree with me on this. So what better way to survive snow days than to paint some imaginary ones. Right? I was blessed to find a calendar this year by the artist that painted that original little hen that I went a little daft over and shamelessly copied dozens of times. Her name is Debi Hron. I think she is my twin. Only with original talent. And a career. And a company. http://ttfabrics.com/designers/designer-3/ ... but other than that... we are art soulmates, pursuers of the whimsical, appreciators of the unsophisticated..... (Stop. Now.) Very well. I've been experiencing a very dry spell in the watercolor department, but when I got this calendar, I knew everything was going to be peachy again. Though I had to trick myself into sitting down the other night and just dive in. I am prone to overthinking things. (Ya think?) Which is a really bad habit for one's artistic pursuits. This was the result: dsc02569 I was very happy with it. Then I emailed the picture of it to C. Having only dipped her brush for the first time in my kitchen not that many months ago, she has now turned into a watercolor Sensei and immediately told me what I needed to do with this painting and how to do it. Not wanting to seem a recalcitrant student..... for I HAVE become a student compared to her already.. don't let her tell you otherwise grasshoppers!..... I obeyed. dsc02582 She's almost always right when it comes to artistic sensibilities. So I listen when she speaks. *** Oh and by the way... just in case you think it's all sunshine and lollypops and cute little birds on snowy branches around here.... The rabbit? It came out the other end. At 2:59 in the morning. On the living room rug. Sunny is now back in her dog house. Life in the country. You gotta love it. But hey, I'm up writing a blog post, so it's not ALL bad eh? (That, my dear Cupcake... who smells faintly of clorox by the way.... is a matter of opinion.) You may have a point. (I ALWAYS have a point.) I've noticed. Goodnight... I mean, good morning everyone!   lime-wild

Stunning! I think I must have not gotten a couple of notices that you had posted. Rabbit? Yes. Checking the sidebar I have missed a couple. Damn Windows 10. I'll go read them now. Poor Sunny. And you.
