So today I was on an errand in town and I happened to pass by an annex of our local second-hand store. In order to get in there to look at things, you have to go down the street and ask for the key. Well, I was looking in the window to see what might be new (it's full of furniture) and there were people in there! I tried the door and it was open. I had a nice chat with the couple that was there. I poked around in the small space and spied something unexpected. I was amazed and immediately had an idea for it.
I went down to the main shop and paid for it and brought it home.
It's a kind of riser for a desk with two drawers in it. They match my craft cupboard perfectly and my desk was big enough for it too!!! I love it!
I'm still amazed at how perfect it is for my work table!
All my inks fit in one of the drawers, so now they are tucked away out of sight.
It was on my list for today to swatch all my inks in two ways. One by color family, and the other by what I thought were the values of the colors from palest to the most saturated. I wanted an easy way to choose the color I want for a doodle project or writing in my journal by just glancing at these cheat sheets.
Evidently, I have a love of browns, as I have the most of those. Some of these inks are only tiny sample bottles, but still, I have enough to do some art with all these colors for the time being.
It is REALLY hard to get a good photo of these inks that is true to life. I did my best.
We are having the nicest weather, even if it is a bit chilly. The sun is out and there is no wind. Very welcome!
I'm hoping to get a walk in before it's time to light Shabbat candles. So, I better get going.
