The weather is warming up.
And it's almost time to tackle a project I have been waiting to work on. S. and I drove up the mountain in her truck today and brought home many buckets of granite sand from a place alongside the road up there.
I took two pictures of this area for a before and after. I thought if I put them here it would encourage me to actually BEGIN cleaning this up.
The feed bucket or watering bucket I bought to make the pond is holding up really well, but it has sunk into the ground a little more than I'm happy with, and it's my intention to take it out if I can and reposition it and level it again. When I put it in the first time, I really did use a level. It might be tricky to get it out of that hole. We'll see.
It's a mess right now.
I want to dig out a bunch of that grass around the edge too. It is taking over again.
The fencing is to keep the deer from stomping right through the plants. They are SO annoying!
I'm looking forward to cleaning this up again. There's a small creek up the road that has some kind of water plant growing in it. I'm thinking about going up there and bringing some of it home to see if it will grow in this little pond. We shall see.
It's a sure sign of Spring, if I put a shovel in the ground!!! 😋
