Bosses Are...Humans (?)
Wed Dec 15 2004

First of all I want to thank those who tried to look up that song for me. I appreciate your help very much…yes, it is a stumper…no matter how I’ve tried different searches on this one, I still couldn’t find lyrics…strange, eh? I guess, the only thing left – to listen and write down the words myself…though I can’t really see this would be easy…not for me at least…too bad…[sigh] well, I guess, its not the end of the world and I can certainly survive without knowing what exactly is that Chrissie sings…Thank you anyway for all your efforts...

I’ve been thinking about bosses being…humans…LOL…honestly, I mean it…do you ever think of your boss as of a …well, say – "normal" man? I bet it doesn’t happen very often. Coz there is – Us and there is – Them…[hmmm…”Us and Them”…not bad of a song, actually ]

Hey, don’t think now, that I’ve laid my eyes on my boss…LOL…no way…I mean, no, my nearest boss is all right, but he is more like a team member – we feel equal around him…But I was doing something in our Administrative Office recently, have seen the Big Guys there, top administration, have talk to them…and a thought came to my mind – I couldn’t imagine the director, for example, being among his family…all I can think of – him in his suit, telling his kids to “present school reports on my desk next morning sharp”…or saying to his wife: “darling, your presentation of your new lingerie has been successful and we are looking forward to work with you in this project” [giggling]…

I hope that there are no Bosses in DD around here to read this…or at least, if there are any, they are not – mine ;-) LOL. Could it be possible that the boss-type guys would have the same way of thinking as everybody else? There MUST be something different about them to be the one to tell others what to do, eh?! ;-)

Anyway, today I’m feeling somewhat chatty, and could’ve talk for ages (well, since I always have a lot to say LOL) but I’ve got to go to town to buy some…glitter…yep, that’s right – a glittering sparkling thingy to smear all over magnificent self on Friday night, coz I’m going to the Theme Party “Starry Starry Night…” woo-hoo! [of course I will be wearing something else too, apart from that glitter];-)
~Laters...

~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is "laters" now [and I feel pretty silly making this entry as if messenger's off-lines, but you can't really expect a woman to shut up when all she wants - to talk... ;-) ]
I'm starting to see the good sides of living next door to executive's secretary - she offered to give me a lift to the Friday's party (this is going to be a Party for all our establishment, not just department) so she will take me there and if she'll stay there till I will, I'll get a free ride home too - cool!
I've just bought me a pair of cute little hair...things...with the snowballs hanging from them. Now everyone entering our office thinks it's their duty to say "oh, you've got snow in your hair"...[well, it was sort of funny joke at first couple of occasions, and now it's getting slightly annoying]
And one dissapointment today - the glitter is not that "glittering" at all...in fact, I'll need to put A LOT of it just to get it noticeable! that's not good at all and will require another lunch time trip to town for more sparkly stuff...
A question to myself: why, I wonder, I have absolutely no drive for work today?! hmmmmmm...must be one of those moods, eh? ;-)
    hey interesting topic!
    my bosses are very human and down-to-earth. in fact, my top boss doesnt have the looks of a big boss wearing suit and tie. lol. he just goes around the complex in simple clothing. he's a farmer by heart. my ladyboss, her daughter, is a young woman with a generous heart. like dad, like daughter, i guess. they may rub elbows with the high and mighty, but they are people & service-oriented. i am proud to be associated with them. their leadership inspires and gives hope. we need more of those kind, dont we?
    Believe it or not, I used to have several employees .. I was the boss lady. I did the payroll and the bids. I even got the guys out of jail on Monday morning after payday a few times. Yeah, it is a different world being a boss. You are responsible for so many other people.. and also responsible to see that the job is done to they buyers satisfaction, not to mention meeting all the government requirements, inspections, permits posted, etc.
    I don't miss it one bit
    But, I never liked working for others either ... and being in an office about did me in.
    I am not a person who can do office work. Although I did it for 4 yrs.. yuk
    So.......... Yeah, we are all basically the same.. We all need love, we all feel shame, pain and joy.. You know..
    Hope you have a great and sparkling time at the party.. take advantage of the ride..
    I'm dreaming of snow too! It'll be warm for the next several days, but hopefully we will get some in time for Christmas. Hey, I made a comment on your entry yesterday, but I got booted right afterwards, and now I don't see it here. I guess it must not have registered. I can't remember what it said, but if it comes back to me, I'll repost it.
    When I was in the Marine Corps and when I worked for the State, I was a supervisor. I think I was a good one, we all got along but I have had some really "way out there" supervisors my self. I like right where I am now. One boss and I work at home. I guess I am not much of a people person lately lol. Good luck on the glitter.
