Thousands advices, millions travel tips, gazillions warnings of danger and guidelines on “how to tip in New York” and “what to do and what not to do in New York”…(hello? How come that New York should be treated any different then any other places the tourists visit?)…as you can guess, I’ve been googling my way for the perfect itinerary. (Because I sure wouldn’t want to be stuck in the hotel on my own for the whole 6 days, wouldn’t I?)…so much to know, to be aware of, to keep in mind…Information overload. I think, I’ve had enough of NYC already, even before getting there for real.

I can see somebody started to type: relax, take it easy, don’t overdo it…I won’t. I know. It’s just being able to know what to expect has got its own evil side: the awareness of how much to expect. And that’s really frustrating…you probably have to live there for the whole of your life and still won’t see everything. Everything worth seeing. I wonder what will I say when I return. Is 6 days is enough to say “I’ve seen New York”? I guess, not. Would it be enough to say: “I now know how New York feels”? That’s what I hope for.

I’ll be back...

Yeah, I was one of those offering advice, but further thinking leads me to the conclusion that all you need to do is ENJOY! whatever you see whenever you see it.

    And take lots of pictures.

    Shalom

    lovely lana
It is not the same to say it in private and to have my post post a couple of posts back so I must say it again

I always thought that the best way to become culturized is to walk the streets and hang out on the street corners and watch the millionaires and thugs go by

there is nothing like the streets and the cities the vernecular veins that will lead you to the pulse of new york

and if you are tired of hanging out on the street corner well maybe you could check out the new york art gallery

or there is central park my freind slept there a couple of nights a few weeks actually ha ha

and the other day I saw that old movie with audrey hepburn breakfast at tiffany's yes have a bagel and be dazzled at tiffany's

and bon voyage now I said it right with fanfare
