Thousands advices, millions travel tips, gazillions warnings of danger and guidelines on “how to tip in New York” and “what to do and what not to do in New York”…(hello? How come that New York should be treated any different then any other places the tourists visit?)…as you can guess, I’ve been googling my way for the perfect itinerary. (Because I sure wouldn’t want to be stuck in the hotel on my own for the whole 6 days, wouldn’t I?)…so much to know, to be aware of, to keep in mind…Information overload. I think, I’ve had enough of NYC already, even before getting there for real.
I can see somebody started to type: relax, take it easy, don’t overdo it…I won’t. I know. It’s just being able to know what to expect has got its own evil side: the awareness of how much to expect. And that’s really frustrating…you probably have to live there for the whole of your life and still won’t see everything. Everything worth seeing. I wonder what will I say when I return. Is 6 days is enough to say “I’ve seen New York”? I guess, not. Would it be enough to say: “I now know how New York feels”? That’s what I hope for.
I’ll be back...
